What we do
Forecourt Prices compares petrol and diesel prices at thousands of filling stations across the UK, so you can find the cheapest fuel nearby before you fill up. Search by postcode, town or your current location to see the closest stations ranked by price, with their opening hours and live status.
Where our prices come from
We don't set or verify prices ourselves. Fuel retailers report their own prices to the UK Government's Fuel Finder scheme, and we import that feed every 15 minutes. A retailer's price can sometimes be out of date or wrong, so treat the price on the pump as the final word. How our data works covers our import schedule and freshness indicators in full.
Editorial standards
Forecourt Prices writes and checks every article. Every price figure comes from our own price data, refreshed every 15 minutes. How we work out the figures explains the method. Any outside figure links to its original source, with the date we checked it. Each article lists its sources at the end.
When we report an organisation's view, we name the organisation, date it and keep it apart from our own figures. We don't forecast pump prices. Each source has a review date, and we recheck it when that date comes round. You can report a mistake through our contact page.
Independent and free to use
Forecourt Prices isn't affiliated with any fuel retailer, brand, or government body. We built it on the open Fuel Finder feed. The site is free for everyone, with no subscription or account to sign up for, and light advertising helps cover the hosting.
